Transmission line being rebuilt in southwest San Antonio to improve reliability

March 24, 2022 (SAN ANTONIO) – CPS Energy is working to improve the reliability of power in an area of southwest San Antonio. The Hunt Lane to Pinn Road Transmission Line Rebuild involves rebuilding transmission lines and installing poles. As crews install new wires across Loop 410, intermittent lane closures will happen at SW Loop 410 near Marbach Road.

The work will take place over the next two Sundays, March 27 and April 3, 2022, from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. on both days. For safety precautions, intermittent lane closures will be needed on both Loop 410 and the SW Loop 410 access roads near Bronco Ln. Drivers are asked to find alternative routes and avoid the area, if possible, during the project hours.

Traffic control will be provided in the area on both weekends. CPS Energy reminds drivers to Move Over Slow Down, per State law, for crew and driver safety.
