September 29, 2023 (SAN ANTONIO) – CPS Energy is working to improve the quality and safety of aging transmission lines on the southwest side of San Antonio at Potranco Road and Zeta Dr. just west of Highway 211.
The Potranco Road Project will consist of the removal of aging overhead transmission lines and the installation of new lines. The work will take place on Sunday, October 1, 2023, from 6 – 11 a.m. There are no anticipated customer outages due to this road closure.

CPS Energy crews will be working just West of Highway 211. This will include rolling stops to ensure the removal and installation are performed safely. Alamo City Public Safety Traffic Control will provide traffic control during this closure.

Drivers are asked to find alternative routes and avoid the areas, if possible. CPS Energy reminds drivers to Move Over or Slow Down, per State law, for crew and driver safety. CPS Energy has worked with TxDOT for this road closure.
