CPS ENERGY PREPARING FOR FUTURE GROWTH WITH PROJECT IN SOUTHWEST AREA

DUE TO SEVERE WEATHER, THIS PROJECT IS POSTPONED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE

Work will result in rolling stops in busy Loop 1604 & Hwy 151 corridor on Sunday

May 20, 2022 (SAN ANTONIO) – CPS Energy is preparing for future growth in southwest San Antonio through an improvement project in the Loop 1604 west and Highway 151 corridor. The project will involve removing and installing overhead power lines crossing Loop 1604, and is part of plans to support reliability.

The work will take place on Sunday, May 22, 2022 from 7 a.m.- 2 p.m. Rolling stops will be conducted as CPS Energy crews work on both sides of the Loop 1604 highway and access roads. In conjunction with both contractors and law enforcement, traffic control will be provided in the area. CPS Energy reminds drivers to Move Over Slow Down, per State law, for crew and driver safety.
