For the fourth year in a row, we’ve brought back our Bring Your Own Thermostat (BYOT) special. Our one-time rebate on eligible thermostats is increasing from $85 to $150. This increase, paired with the annual $30 bill credit per household, gives new participants an immediate return.

Here’s how it works:

  • Customers purchase a qualifying Wi-Fi Programmable Thermostat
  • Install it yourself (DIY) or hire a professional
  • Enroll in our My Thermostat Rewards program (MTR), before January 31, 2019
  • Receive a one-time $150 bill credit for each thermostat enrolled

What is My Thermostat Rewards?
The My Thermostat Rewards program is a Demand Response program aimed at helping reduce energy load during extreme temperatures when energy demand is at its highest. Demand Response is a reduction in demand during peak periods.

Currently, more than 130,000 customers are participating in the My Thermostat Rewards program. In addition to helping conserve electricity, there are personal benefits like having more control of energy use, earning a rebate and saving a little money to help offset the expenses of the season.

Customers can get an additional annual $30 bill credit.
Customers who enroll in MTR will also receive a $30 bill credit per household for every year they stay on the program.

Already own a Wi-Fi programmable thermostat?
Customers who already own one of the qualifying thermostats but are not participating, can enroll any time through January 31, 2019 and receive the one-time $150 bill credit as well.
